This Privacy Policy explains how Şükrü Taşkıran (“we”, “our”, or “us”) handles information when you use the Stop Smoking: Quit Tracker mobile application (“Stop Smoking” or the “App”).

Stop Smoking is localized in Turkish as Sigaradan Kurtul: Sigara Bırak. The App is a smoking cessation and habit tracking app designed to store your personal quit-smoking progress primarily on your own device. We do not operate user accounts or cloud sync for your personal smoking journal or progress data. Only if you enable notifications, the minimum information needed to deliver them is stored on our servers, as described in the "Google Firebase (Notifications)" section below.

1. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The App may ask you to enter information such as:

Quit date
Previous cigarette usage
Cigarette pack price and quantity
Progress, savings, milestones, achievements, and app preferences
Journal entries, notes, motivations, or relapse-related information you choose to enter
A motivation video selected from your device, if you choose to use that feature

This information is stored locally on your device. We do not receive, view, sell, or share this local quit-smoking progress data.

If you delete the App, the locally stored data may be deleted from your device, subject to your operating system’s backup and restore behavior.

2. Information Collected Through Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services to support advertising, purchases, product analytics, and app functionality. These services may process certain data according to their own privacy policies.

Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to show advertisements to non-paying users.

Google AdMob may collect or process information such as:

Advertising identifiers, where available and permitted
Device information
IP address
Approximate location inferred from IP address
Ad interactions
Diagnostic and performance information
Consent signals and ad personalization preferences

Advertising may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your region, consent status, device settings, and applicable law.

For users in regions where consent is required, the App uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to request and manage advertising consent. Where required, you may manage your advertising privacy choices from the App’s settings.

We use RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases and subscription/supporter status.

RevenueCat may process information such as:

App user identifier generated for purchase management
Purchase history and entitlement status
Product identifiers
Store transaction information received from Apple App Store or Google Play

We do not receive your full payment card details. Payments are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play.

Mixpanel

We use Mixpanel for product analytics to understand how users interact with the App and to improve the product.

Mixpanel may process information such as:

App events, for example screen views, onboarding steps, feature usage, settings interactions, and purchase-related status
Device type, operating system, app version, language, and region
Approximate location inferred from IP address
A randomly generated anonymous identifier assigned to your device session. This identifier is not linked to your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information.

We do not intentionally send your smoking journal text, motivation notes, exact quit-smoking history, or other sensitive quit progress details to Mixpanel.

Mixpanel is used for product analytics, not for selling personal data or advertising brokerage.

Google Firebase (Notifications)

If you enable notifications, the following information is stored on our servers on Google Firebase so we can send you daily motivation notifications (and, in the future, milestone celebrations):

Your quit date
Your notification time and notification preference
A push notification identifier for your device
Your time zone and app language
A randomly generated anonymous identifier

This processing is based on the explicit consent you give by enabling notifications; you can turn notifications off at any time in the App's settings. When you turn them off, sending stops; the record is kept in case you re-enable notifications later. If you want these records deleted, simply email support@smokefreetracker.com.

This data is hosted on Firebase servers in the European Union (Germany) and is not shared with advertising or analytics services.

Firebase Analytics

We use Google Firebase Analytics as a second product analytics service alongside Mixpanel. Firebase Analytics may process information such as app events, device type, operating system, app version, language, and region, together with an anonymous identifier assigned to your device session. Your smoking journal text and personal notes are not sent to Firebase Analytics.

AppsFlyer

We use AppsFlyer to understand which marketing channel an install came from (install attribution measurement). AppsFlyer may process information such as device information, IP address, advertising identifiers where available and permitted, and install and engagement events.

Apple App Store and Google Play

If you make an in-app purchase, the transaction is processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. Their privacy policies apply to payment processing and store account activity.

Photos or videos, except local access to a video you choose for in-app use

5. Advertising and Consent Choices

The App may show ads through Google AdMob.

Depending on your region, you may be asked to consent to personalized advertising and related data processing. You may also be able to manage advertising choices through:

The App’s settings, where available
Your device advertising settings
Platform privacy controls provided by Apple or Google

If you decline advertising consent where applicable, the App may still show non-personalized ads.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your local quit-smoking progress data.

We may share limited information with third-party service providers only as needed to operate the App, including:

Mixpanel and Firebase Analytics for product analytics
AppsFlyer for install attribution measurement
Google Firebase for notification delivery
Apple App Store and Google Play for purchase processing

These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.

7. Data Retention

Local App data remains on your device until you delete it, reset the App data, or uninstall the App.

If you enabled notifications, the information kept for notification delivery (see "Google Firebase (Notifications)") is stored on our servers until you request deletion. To request deletion, email support@smokefreetracker.com.

Third-party providers may retain data according to their own retention policies. You may contact us if you want assistance with privacy or deletion requests related to data we can reasonably control.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

Access personal information
Request deletion

Object to or restrict certain processing
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
Opt out of certain sharing or targeted advertising where applicable

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children. Because the App relates to smoking cessation, it is intended for users who are legally and appropriately able to use such a wellness app in their region.

10. International Data Processing

Third-party services used by the App may process data in countries other than your country of residence. These services are responsible for applying their own safeguards and legal mechanisms for international transfers. The data we keep for notification delivery is hosted on Firebase servers in the European Union (Germany).

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information under our control. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
